I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
